SANTO DOMINGO – University at Buffalo women's basketball sophomore forward Diann Jackson put together a stellar performance to cap off an impressive run at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, helping lead the Puerto Rican Women's U20 National Team to a gold medal with a 57-44 win over Mexico on Sunday. 

Jackson notched a double-double with a game-high 18 points to go with 12 rebounds and two steals in the championship game.  

She averaged 9.6 points per game in the tournament, including two double-doubles, three double-digit scoring efforts and three double-digit rebounding totals across five contests while averaging 3.6 assists per game and shooting an efficient 47% from the floor.

Jackson is entering her sophomore season after playing a major impact as a freshman, appearing in all 30 games, while earning 14 starts, and averaging 4.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while also logging 16.7 minutes per contest.

She joins a Bulls squad that returns a core of six players while adding nine newcomers, including six freshmen and three transfers.
