Forty-Nine Named to 2025-26 Women’s Basketball Academic All-MAC Team

CLEVELAND – A total of 49 Mid-American Conference women’s basketball student-athletes were named to the 2025-26 Women’s Basketball Academic All-MAC Team, as announced by the league office on Thursday. 

Kent State had a conference-best eight student-athletes on this year’s team. Bowling Green placed seven honorees, while UMass and Miami had five student-athletes represented. 

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and any transfer in their first year of residence were not eligible for the award.
