Eastern Michigan University women's golf kept its dream run alive with a thrilling 3.5-1.5 win over No. 4 Texas in NCAA Match Play quarterfinal action at the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships. Jasmine Leovao delivered the decisive moment with a birdie on the par-5 18th hole, sending the Eagles into the national semifinals and one step closer to a championship.

The Cinderella story continues for Eastern Michigan, which now stands just two wins away from a national title at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. The Eagles will take on No. 1 Stanford in semifinal action Tuesday at 5:05 p.m. ET, with Golf Channel providing live coverage from 6-10 p.m. ET.

Janae Leovao led the charge with a dominant 5&4 win over Annika Award winner and individual champion Farah O'Keefe. Savannah de Bock added a 5&3 victory over Angela Heo, and Baiyok Sukterm battled back from three down after eight holes to earn a tie against Selina Liao.

Eastern Michigan is the first non-Power 4 team to reach the semifinals in match play since the format began in 2015.

The Eagles finished fifth after stroke play with rounds of 286-295-289-284 for a 1,154 total, the best finish by a Mid-American Conference team in NCAA Championship history. Kent State previously held the conference benchmark with a seventh-place finish in 2017.

The NCAA Championship opened with 54 holes of stroke play from Friday through Sunday, followed by a final 18-hole round Monday to determine the top eight teams and individual champion. Match play continued Tuesday with the quarterfinals and semifinals, and the championship match is set for Wednesday, May 27.
