CARLSBAD, Calif. (EMUEagles.com) –
The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team battled throughout and closed its second round at the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships tied for ninth place at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., May 23. The Eagles slipped four spots in the team standings but remained in the hunt to advance as the top 15 in the standings following the third round will continue to play, May 25.

"We are top 10 at the national championship with two rounds of show play," Head Coach Josh Brewer said. "Anything that you dream of as a student-athlete or as a coach is right in front of you. And now it's simple: do you execute? Do you do everything and truthfully embrace the moment and have a little bit of fun with it. Yes, there's a lot of pressure, but at the same time, it is why you play college sports. All of the sudden, there are two days left and you still have a chance to win a national championship. Now, we'll just hope more Eastern fans show up and we put on a good show for them."
