AKRON, Ohio – Kent State University is set to host the 2026 Mid-American Conference Women’s Golf Championships from the Fazio Course at Firestone Country Club. The three-round tournament runs from April 26-28 at the 6,137-yard, par-70 course.
All ten MAC women’s golf programs will compete for the team and individual titles. The 54-hole tournament features 18 holes each day, with split start times slated from 9:00AM – 10:30AM off the first tee and 9:30AM – 10:42AM off the tenth tee.
The winning team and medalist at the 2026 MAC Championships will automatically qualify for NCAA Regionals on May 11-13. The field will be announced on the Golf Channel on Wednesday, April 29 at 4 p.m. ET with qualifiers split into six regional sites. The tournament championship will begin on Friday, May 22 and continue through Wednesday, May 27 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
The players will complete 54 holes of stroke play, and then the top 15 teams along with the top nine individuals not on an advancing team competing for one additional day of stroke play to determine the top eight teams for match play competition and the 72-hole stroke play individual champion. The top eight teams then compete in match play for the team national championship to be decided May 27.
