PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Jackson Kuwatch, a member of the Miami University football team, was select in the seventh round (pick 227) of the 2026 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers on Saturday afternoon. Kuwatch is the first RedHawk drafted since Dominique Robinson was selected in the fifth round by the Chicago Bears in 2022.
Kuwatch started all 14 games for Miami in 2025, earning third-team All-MAC honors. He posted 109 tackles, 10.0 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks in his final year for the Red and White. He added a career-best 14 tackles versus Western Michigan in the MAC Title Game and had 11 tackles and a sack at Rutgers.
The Cincinnati, Ohio, native played in 33 games throughout his Miami career.
