MAC Boat of the Week
Delaware 1V4+
Delaware competed at the Cornell Invite, where the First Varsity 4+ won both races it competed in on the day. In the first round, UD took down Bucknell with a time of 7:42.9, defeating the Bison by 32 seconds. In round two, the Blue Hens became the first MAC crew of the 2026 season to defeat an Ivy League NCAA open weight crew. They beat Cornell with a time of 7:41.35 to the Big Red’s 7:43.97.

UMass rowing would like to nominate our V8 this week after another great performance Saturday morning on Lake Quinsigamond. The V8 battled against 5 teams they had raced just 6 days prior at the Knecht Cup. Conditions on the lake were fair with light cross tail winds during all racing. UMass V8 won the final race of the morning series against MIT,BC,UConn,Sacred Heart, and Holy Cross. V8 broke the 6:30 barrier for the first time this season going 6:29.5 over the distance. V8 opened the gap between UMass and a very talented MIT program who they beat on the clock by just one second the week before. On Saturday morning the margin stretched out to 2.5 seconds (around 2/3 of a length). UMass maintained the similar margins over a very strong BC crew while also opening up margins on UConn Sacred Heart and Holy Cross
