Massachusetts Completes Sweep Over Hofstra | Box Score
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts tennis picked up its fourth straight win after completing a 7-0 sweep over Hofstra on Sunday afternoon at the Bay Road Indoor Tennis Center.
The victory improved the Minutewomen to 6-1 overall on the year.
UMass earned the doubles point, winning on all three courts.

Amelia Tye took down Isabella Cardinal and Sabira Mohamed of Hofstra, 6-2, at court No. 2, before the duo of
Ella Faessler and
Renata Farima defeated Hofstra's Aryanah Kahnamoui and Aida Oviedo, 6-1, at No. 1 doubles. At No. 3,
Madara Markevica and
Martina Pavissich won 6-4 over the Pride's Katarina Drinchich and Ava Veneziano.
Massachusetts continued its stellar performance in singles competition, picking up points at all six positions. Markevica finished first with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Bohdana Bilokon of Hofstra at court No. 4, before Tye downed Mohamed of the Pride, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 1 singles. Faessler made it a 4-0 match with a 7-5, 6-0 triumph over Hofstra's Oviedo at the No. 2 slot. Pavissich defeated Kahnamoui of the Pride, 6-4, 6-1, at court No. 3, as
Fiona Ao posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Veneziano of Hofstra at court No. 5.
De Oliveira secured the final point after downing Hofstra's Cardinal, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.
The Minutewomen take a weeklong break before returning to the court on Friday, February 27, for a 3 p.m. match against Stony Brook at the Bay Road Indoor Tennis Center.
Northern Illinois Outlasts Saint Louis | Box Score
DeKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University women's tennis team outlasted Saint Louis, 4-2, at home on Sunday night. The victory extends the Huskies' winning streak to five.
The doubles point proved to be vital to the win for NIU.

Nataly Ninova defeated Emmerson White / Madison Hill at No. 1 while

Theodora Kousiou won 6-1 at No. 2.
Ninova gave the Huskies at 2-0 lead with a win at No. 4 singles, but the Billikens secured the next two wins to tie the match at 2-2.
Lucia Yecora recorded a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 at No. 3 to tilt the match back to the Huskies favor.
Rebeca Garcia Miralles clinched the match for NIU with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Aryn Walker. Garcia Miralles has now won five consecutive matches.
NIU won't play this coming weekend and will next play at Bradley on Friday, Feb. 27.
Miami Earns Win Over Butler
HAMILTON, Ohio – Miami University women's tennis earned a 6-1 victory over Butler University this Sunday Evening. Miami secured the doubles point and went on to win five singles matches to complete the team victory. Complete results can be found below.
