MAC Announces Week 1 Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week
Kassidy Morris, UMass, Attack
Redshirt Senior, Washago, Ontario (Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School)

Kassidy Morris led UMass in scoring in its season opener with five goals and four assists for nine points. Additionally, Morris moved into second all-time in program history in career goals during the Minutewomen’s 17-8 victory over Holy Cross.

Defensive Player of the Week
Anna Zucconi, Kent State, Defender
Sophomore, Kensington, Md. (Walter Johnson)

Anna Zucconi started off strong on the defensive end after a conference All-freshman team selection last year. She was a force on the defensive side of the field causing four turnovers and grabbing four ground balls. She also helped the defensive unit hold the Lions to two goals in the fourth quarter and overtime.

Goalkeeper of the Week
Sydney Davis, Kent State, Goalkeeper
Junior, Roswell, Ga. (Roswell)

Sydney Davis stood in net for the full 60 minutes and overtime in a season-opening win over Lindenwood. She finished with a game-high 14 saves including some big saves late to give her team an opportunity for a fourth quarter comeback.
