MAC Softball Player of the Week
Belle Hummel, Senior, Centerfield, Ohio

Ohio senior centerfielder Belle Hummel was a beast for the Ohio offense this weekend at the Founders Classic hosted by USC Upstate in Spartanburg, SC. Hummel's performance helped the Bobcats got 4-1 on the week, with all four wins being decided by run rule. Overall, Hummel hit .765 with 13 hits in 17 at bats. She recorded two doubles and hit the first two home runs of her career. The leadoff hitter scored 12 runs and recorded eight RBI, drew four walks, and did not strike out, while recording 21 total bases. Hummel also registered a 1.045 OPS, 1.235 slugging percentage and a .810 on base percentage, while going 3-for-3 on stolen bases. Hummel came out of the gate hot, in the first game of the season on Feb. 7 against Saint Francis, Hummel went 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI and her first career home run in the 16-2 victory. Later in the day against Towson, Hummel went 4-for-4 again with three runs scored in the 9-0 win. On Saturday, Hummel scored two runs against Towson in the 12-4 win and then followed that up later in the day against Upstate, Hummel went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI in the Bobcats extra inning loss to the Spartans. Hummel concluded the weekend against Saint Francis, going 2-for-3 with a home run, double, three RBI and two runs scored in Ohio's 10-2 win.
MAC Softball Pitcher of the Week
Angelina Ricciardi, Junior, RHP, Miami

Angelina Ricciardi went 3-0 with a 1.08 ERA in her first action with the RedHawks. She struck out six batters in 13.0 innings pitched and held the opposition to a .188 batting average. She opened the week with a 7.0 inning complete game win over Minnesota and followed it up with a win over San Diego State University, allowing no runs over 5.0 innings of action. She wrapped up West-Coast trip by throwing one inning in a victory over Loyola Chicago.
