Kent State Golden Flashes (10-11, 4-6 MAC)
Kent State will battle Ohio at the Convocation Center on Tuesday in a contest between teams with Mid-American Conference postseason ambitions. The teams are currently in a three-way tie for sixth in the league standings.
The Golden Flashes split two five-setters with Eastern Michigan last week. Junior
Nadia Miller recorded a career-high 15 kills in both matches to lead the offense. Senior
Mercedez Brown has been the top attacker of the season and averages 2.56 kills per set. Sophomore
Macie Moreland leads the team in conference play with an average of 2.60 kills per set. Senior
Christina Vigil ranks fifth in the MAC with an average of 7.70 assists per set. Vigil is also versatile as a defender and averages 2.00 digs per set and 0.39 blocks per set. Junior
Lesley Furuta ranks fifth in the conference with an average of 3.76 digs per set. Furuta tallied a career-high 34 digs against Toledo on Oct. 9.
Ohio Bobcats (11-10, 4-6 MAC)
Ohio volleyball kicks off the week with a midweek matchup against Kent State (10-11, 4-6 MAC) on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. ET in the Convocation Center. It's PACK THE CONVO night with rally towels available as a giveaway. The Bobcats will wrap up the week against Western Michigan (14-7, 6-4 MAC) on Friday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. ET in the Convocation Center. Friday night is Halloween at the Convo.
The Bobcats average 13.21 kills, 12.22 assists, 1.39 aces, 12.78 digs and 1.60 blocks per set. Ohio currently has a .229 team hitting percentage. The Golden Flashes average 11.20 kills, 10.10 assists, 1.27 aces, 15.44 digs, and 1.92 blocks per set. Kent State currently has a .177 team hitting percentage. The Broncos average 13.1 kills, 12.4 assists, 1.5 aces, 15.2 digs and 2.0 blocks per set. Western Michigan currently has a .258 team hitting percentage.

Volleyball continues MAC play with two big matchups against Miami in Oxford, Ohio this weekend. Toledo earned two wins over Ohio last weekend, picking up a 3-0 sweep on Friday and a 3-1 decision on Saturday afternoon. The squad is currently tied for second place in the league standings with the RedHawks.
Sophie Catalano is leading the offense with 2.48 kills/set while
Grace Freiberger continues to be a force on defense, averaging 4.09 digs/set.
