Lock Haven Tops the MAC in January Wrestling Rankings

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference released its second in-season rankings for the 2025-26 wrestling season, where Lock Haven moves to the top of the January team rankings. Each of the 10 individual weight classes also features new rankings since the start of the season.

Provided by WrestleStat, the team and individual rankings will continue throughout the season.

Lock Haven moves into the top seed with 104 points, among the 11 teams, after sittingin the No. 5 spot in December. Rider (86.5 pts.) holds down the No. 2 spot, followed by SIUE (81 pts.) at No. 3, George Mason (78.5 pts.) in fourth, and Central Michigan (74 pts.) to round out the top 5.

Three of the 10 weight classes have new names at the top of the standings, including SIUE’s Marcel Lopez (133 lbs.), along with Ohio’s Garrett Thompson (174 lbs.) and Sal Perrine (184 lbs.)
The 2026 MAC Wrestling Championships will take place on March 6-7, in the University at Buffalo’s Alumni Arena in Buffalo, NY.
