Tye Selected To ITA All-American Championships Pre-Qualifying Singles Round

AMHERST, Mass. -  Junior Amelia Tye becomes only the second Minutewomen in Massachusetts women's tennis program history to compete in the singles competition at the ITA Women's All-American Championships on Saturday, September 20, through Monday, September 22, at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina.

Tye was selected for the Pre-Qualifying Round, joining former Minutewoman Janja Kovacevic, who was selected for the tournament in 2019.

During the 2024-25 season, the London, England, native registered a 12-7 overall singles record, including an unblemished 4-0 record in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Tye primarily competed at No. 4 singles, going 8-6 overall in the spot. She also posted a 1-0 record at No. 3 singles and a 3-1 record at No. 2 singles.

Tye is one of 156 players selected to the Pre-Qualifying Singles, and the only member representing the Mid-American Conference, so far.

The ITA Women's All-American Championships have featured the nation's top NCAA Division I players and have been a pioneer in women's college tennis since 1983. In addition, the event has created milestones that have directly influenced the popularity of women's collegiate tennis over the years.
