ABOUT MIAMI
•  The RedHawks enter Friday's game 35-24 (.593 win percentage). Miami finished the MAC season 20-7 to take their sixth-straight regular season championship. They then went on to claim their fourth-straight tournament championship.

•  Over the past five years, Miami is 208-78-1 overall and 127-23 in MAC play. The RedHawks have won every MAC Regular Season title since 2019 and every MAC Tournament Championship since 2022. There was no MAC season in 2020 (COVID) and no MAC Tournament in 2021.

• This is the RedHawks fifth-straight appearance in the NCAA tournament and ninth overall. Miami has played in the Knoxville Regional three times (2005, 2012, and 2024).

•  Four RedHawks were named to the All-MAC Teams. Chloe Parks and Madilyn Reeves each earned a spot on the First Team while Mckenna Campbell and Shelby Kunkel were named to the Second Team.

•  Chloe Parks was awarded the MAC Nan Harvey award in recognition of Harvey's dedication and passion for women's sports and the game of softball. Nan Harvey was a part of the University at Buffalo family for over two decades where she helped shape the women's softball, basketball and volleyball programs. The progression of women's athletics is, no doubt, a tribute to the vision she had. Her hard work and never-give-up attitude for pushing forward were all self-driven and qualities that cannot be taught or coached.

•  Chloe Parks also earned MAC Tournament MVP honors. She recorded a .412 batting average, racking up five hits, seven runs, and eight RBI, which led the MAC Tournament. Parks has a career high in hits (74), runs (39), doubles (21), RBI (47) and stolen bases (7) in 2025.

•  Kaylee Oh, Léa Chevrier, and Chloe Parks were all named to the MAC All-Tournament team.

•  Coach Mandy Gardner-Colegate was named MAC Co-Coach of the year in her first year leading the RedHawks. Prior to joining Miami, she served as an assistant coach at Grand Canyon (2016-21), UC San Diego (2022) and Iowa (2023-24).

•  Pitcher Madilyn Reeves is tied for second in the country in complete games (25), first in innings pitched (243.2), 13th in strikeouts (220) and tied for ninth in wins (23). Her 243.2 innings pitched is fourth most in program history, while her 220 strikeouts rank fifth.

•  Léa Chevrier threw her first collegiate no-hitter in an elimination game against Ball State in the MAC Tournament on May 9. She also ranks third in the MAC in opponent batting average (.256).

•  The Miami offense ranks 12th in the country in doubles per game (1.69) and 18th in home runs (75). Miami is one of three schools in the country with at least 100 doubles this year (117, McNeese State and 107, Indiana).

•  Shelby Kunkel enters the tournament with 20 stolen bases on the season, second-most in program history. Miami has 75 stolen bases this year (school record is 86, 2021).

HAWKS AND THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
The Miami RedHawks make their ninth NCAA Tournament appearance this weekend, all coming in the last 20 years. The RedHawks are 7-16 all-time in NCAA Tournament play. Miami advanced to the NCAA Regional finals back in 2023, their best finish in program history.

STORYLINES TO WATCH:
•  Tennessee Graduate Assistant Karli Spaid played four seasons for the RedHawks from 2021-24. She finished her Miami career with 103 home runs (second in NCAA history) and ranks first in Miami history in batting averages (.395), runs scored (253), home runs (103) and RBI (258).

•  Ohio State head coach Kirin Kumar served in the same role for Miami from 2021-24. In four years with the RedHawks, Kumar compiled a 174-56-1 record, capturing four MAC Regular Season crowns and three MAC Tournament Championships.
