The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Swimming & Diving Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Akron
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Swimming & Diving teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

The University of Akron Swimming and Diving team was represented by Abigail DanielMadelyn GatrallGrace Nuhfer and Rebecca Reid.

  • Student-athletes must compete in five competitions OR finish top-eight at a conference meet. 
  • Must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically
  • Must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.

Bowling Green
The College Sports Communications (CSC, formerly known as CoSIDA), announced their 2024-25 Academic All-District women's swimming & diving teams on Tuesday afternoon.

Ava VialEmily McNicolElise Snyder and Grace Bodrock earned this recognition, which is believed to be the most representation the Falcons have ever had on the list.

All four recipients earned Academic All-MAC honors this season as well.

The quartet are the first BGSU swimmers/divers to receive the honor since 2020, when Talisa Lemke was named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's At-Large team.

Vial and Snyder were selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.


Buffalo
Four student-athletes of the University at Buffalo Swimming & Diving team have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.

The Bulls awarded the honor are Marialis KwakKaylee DonovanElise McCaul and Nicole Aguilar.

Aguilar posted a perfect 4.0 grade point average through three years in Buffalo as a Biomedical Sciences major. The junior is a two-time Academic All-MAC honoree. Aguilar qualified for and competed in the 100-yard butterfly finals at Mid-American Conference Championships, placing eighth with a time of 54.45. The junior also earned a first-place finish in both the 200-yard butterfly consolation finals (2:02.44) and the 200-yard individual medley finals (2:02.12).

Donovan earned a 3.90 grade point average through four years at UB as a Biological Sciences major. The senior is a three-time Academic All-MAC honoree. Donovan also competed at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships the last two seasons. In her senior season, Donovan joined the all-time program top ten in the three-meter dive, taking the ninth spot with a score of 300.40 at the UB Diving Invite. The senior also qualified for the three-meter finals at MAC Swimming & Diving Championships with a score of 262.85 to place third in the preliminary round, then finishing sixth in the finals with a score of 256.65.

Kwak finished her final year in Buffalo with a 3.70 grade point average as a Chemical Engineering major. The senior is a three-time Academic All-MAC honoree and three-time All-MAC First Team selection. Kwak closed out her senior season by being named the MAC Diver of the Year for the third time in her career and winning her fourth and fifth MAC Championships in the three-meter (319.40) and the one-meter (312.05). The senior also had an undefeated season through conference championships in the diving well, winning 17 consecutive individual diving events. Graduating this spring, Kwak leaves Buffalo holding the school record for three-meter diving (363.05) and ranks third all-time in the one-meter (313.00).

McCaul has a 3.83 grade point average through three years at UB as a Biomedical Sciences major. The junior earned All-MAC Second Team honors for the first time in her career following conference championships. McCaul is also a two-time Academic All-MAC honoree. The junior earned a top-eight finish at three events at the conference championships, taking seventh in the 500-yard freestyle finals (4:55.51) and sixth in the 400-yard individual medley (4:23.17). McCaul closed out her junior season by placing eighth in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:09.47.


Eastern Michigan 
Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving student-athletes Ciara WheelerLucy NobleMalia Maire, and Olivia Clarino were tabbed Academic All-District honorees by College Sports Communicators (CSC). The organization announced the recipients on Tuesday, April 1.
 
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Swimming & Diving teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
For Wheeler, Noble, Maire, and Clarino, the accolade marks the first of their respective careers. Overall, the Eagles have seen 17 student-athletes make the list in program history. 
 
Each Eagle boasts at least a 3.96 GPA, with Clarino and Noble holding perfect 4.00 marks in the classroom.


Miami
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The women's team includes four Miami University student-athletes: Kaylin HerbetMadeline PadavicCasey Stephens and Julia Waechter

Ohio
Four members of the Ohio swimming and diving team were named to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Swimming and Diving Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, the organization announced this week. Graduate student Caroline Dunigan, juniors Casadie DiBetta and Emily Ellsworth and sophomore Zita Szoke all earned the honor. 

This is the second-straight year that Dunigan (Lansdale, Pa) has earned a spot on the All-District Team. Dunigan is working on her master's in athletic training and sports a 3.768 GPA. Dunigan concluded her swim career with her best yet, starting with a MAC Championship in the 200-medley relay with a school record time of 1:36.98. She also placed fourth in the 100 free, third in the 50 free and fourth in the 200 free. She was then a part of the 400-medley relay, 200 free relay and 200 free relay teams that all placed second and all setting new program records in the process. Dunigan's performance helped her earn a spot on the All-MAC First Tea, while helping lead Ohio to a second-place finish at this year's conference championships. 

This is the second year that DiBetta (St. Clairsville, Ohio) has earned a spot on the All-District Team. The early childhood education major sports a 3.988 GPA and is coming off another stellar MAC Championships. DiBetta won the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke events, earning back-to-back championships in those events. DiBetta finished the 100-yard breaststroke in a school record time of 59.81 and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:10.99, also breaking her own Ohio record. DiBetta was also a part of the MAC Champion 200-medley relay race that set the Ohio record with a time of 1:36.98 and competed in the 400-medley relay where Ohio finished second with a school record of 3:34.28. DiBetta also earned a spot on the All-MAC First Team, while helping Ohio place second at the 2025 MAC Championships. 

This is the first time Ellsworth (Westerville, Ohio) has earned a spot on the All-District Team. The Community and Public Health major registers a 3.757 GPA and is coming off a strong junior season. At MACs, Ellsworth turned in career-best performances, placing third in the 400 IM with a time of 4:19.50, fifth in the 200 IM (2:01.88) and fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke, touching in with a time of 2:15.38, all personal bests. Ellsworth earned a spot on the All-MAC First Team, with her efforts helped the Bobcats place second at this year's MAC Championships. 

This is the first time Szoke (Hodmezovasarhely, Hungary) has earned a spot on the All-District Team. The Linguistics major with a 3.57 GPA, is coming off an historic trip to the 2025 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships last week. Szoke became the first Ohio swimmer to earn All-American status since 2000 when she placed 11th overall in the 100 free with a new MAC and Ohio record of 47.62, breaking her own record of 47.63 that she set in the morning prelims. Her 11th place finish is the highest finish at the NCAA Championships from a MAC swimmer this season, and it's the highest finish for a Bobcat since 1995 when Hall of Famer Lisa MacNicol (Mitchell) placed 11th in the 100 fly.  

Szoke also competed in the 200 free where she placed first in her heat with the 1:44.54 time and in 50 free, placing third in her heat – 44th overall – with a time of 22.26. Szoke was also named a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of American (CSCAA) Second Team All-American. 

Prior to her trip to Federal Way, Szoke won three individual championships (50, 100, 200 free) and one relay championship (200-medley relay) and finished second in the 400-medley relay, 200 free relay and 400 free relay and the 2025 MAC Championships all setting school records. She was named First Team All-MAC, a two-time MAC Swimmer of the Week and MAC Female Scholar Athlete of the Week.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 22, 2025.


Toledo
The Toledo women's swimming & diving student-athletes Leah EvansNejla KaricMolly Pressler and Janne Slegers have been named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.

All four Rockets are first-time honorees to the Academic All-District Team and also earned Academic All-MAC honors on Monday.

Slegers carries a 3.97 GPA as a psychology major, Pressler boasts a 3.96 GPA as a pharmacy major, Karic owns a 3.84 GPA as a sociology major while Evans has a 3.74 GPA as a health sciences major.

Evans will move to the ballot for Academic All-American. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on April 22.
