YPSILANTI, Mich. — The Eastern Michigan Eagles women’s basketball team rolled to a 96–44 win over Defiance College Yellow Jackets Friday at the George Gervin GameAbove Center, dominating from wire to wire. Eastern Michigan led 28–10 after the first quarter and never let up — scoring 21 in the second, 26 in the third and 21 in the fourth. 

The Eagles shot 43.2 percent from the floor (35 of 81) with 31.0 percent (9 of 29) from beyond the arc, and made 17 of 21 free throws. 

The balanced attack featured a game-high 19 points from Sisi Eleko, while Peyton Hill added 11 and Oliwia Pelka contributed 15. Eastern Michigan also piled up 44 points in the paint, scored 33 on fast breaks and generated 38 points off turnovers — overwhelming the Yellow Jackets on both ends.
