Toledo Opens December with Home Win Versus Morgan State

Toledo used a fast start and a balanced offensive effort to pull away from Morgan State for a 79–66 win Tuesday night at Savage Arena. The Rockets shot 50% from the field and built a 39–25 halftime lead behind strong play from Kendall Carruthers, who finished with a game-high 27 points, and Faith Fedd-Robinson, who added 10 points and nine rebounds. Toledo dominated the paint with 52 points inside and held a 44–30 edge on the glass.

Morgan State briefly threatened with an 11-0 run in the third quarter, but Toledo responded with timely scoring from Miriam Diala (10 points), Evalyse Cole (six points, five rebounds) and a 22-point third frame to maintain control. Ja’la Bannerman led Morgan State with 16 points, while Kailyn Nash added 13. The Rockets improved to 3–3, while Morgan State fell to 1–9.
