Ohio Defeats Ball State on the Road | Results
MUNCIE, Ind.  – 
The Ohio swimming and diving team traveled to Muncie, Indiana, on Friday (Nov. 7) to take on Ball State in MAC competition. The Bobcats defeat the Cardinals 152-148 in a close meet to pick up their third straight win of the season. Freshman Jana Macik sets a pool record and junior Astrid Pichardo qualifies for the NCAA Diving Zones in the 1M dive in the victory.  
 
Ohio opened up the meet with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. Freshman Lily Baungartner (Ada, Ohio), freshman Juliette Daigneault, Sophomore Jordan Claypoole, and freshman Tori Wittenberg finished with a time of 1:45.05.
 
In the 1000-yard freestyle, Ohio had three Bobcats finish in the top five. Sophomore Ashlyn Morr finished in second place with a time of 10:35.23, freshman Katrina Kollin finished in fourth place with a time of 10:38.10, and junior Ashley Sallows finished in fifth place with a time of 10:39.96.
 
Junior Zita Szoke finished in first place in the 200-yard free with a time of 1:50.10. Junior Katie Buroker also finished in the top five with a time of 1:55.27, placing fourth.
 
In the 100-yard backstroke, junior Melanie Schweikert finished in second place with a time of 57.63, and senior Allison Schrank finished in fifth place with a time of 57.97.
 
In the 100-yard breaststroke, two Bobcats finished in the top five, with senior Emily Ellsworth placing second with a time of 1:05.40, and Daigneault finished in third place with a time of 1:06.15.

Macik placed first in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:02.25, which set a pool record at the Lewellen Aquatic Center. Junior Isabella Arbaugh finished in fifth place with a time of 2:09.28.

Szoke was the top finisher in the 50-yard free with a time of 23.31, and Wittenberg finished in third place with a time of 24.41.

In 3M diving, Pichardo was the highest finishing Bobcat with a score of 272.10. Pichardo finished in second place. Freshman Alyssa Kiszczak finished in third place with a score of 234.15.

In the 100-yard free, three Bobcats placed inside the top five. Szoke was the highest Ohio finisher, in second place, with a time of 50.95. Buroker finished in third place with a time of 52.77, and Wittenberg finished in fourth place with a time of 52.78.

Sophomore Juliana Slaninka and Schweikert took the top two finishes in the 200-yard backstroke. Slaninka finished in first place with a time of 2:02.97, and Schweikert finished in second with a time of 2:03.73.

Ellsworth was the top finisher in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:20.81, and freshman Reese Benton finished in fifth place with a time of 2:32.06.

Senior Anna McGarth finished the 500-yard free in first place with a time of 5:08.22. Kollin finished behind McGarth in second place with a time of 5:08.58, and Morr finished in fourth place with a time of 5:11.79.

Three Bobcats finished in the top five in the 100-yard butterfly, with Claypoole claiming first place with a time of 55.74. Macik finished in third place with a time of 56.23, and Schrank finished in fifth place with a time of 59.53.

In 1M diving, Pichardo was the top Bobcat finisher with a score of 271.28, which qualifies her for NCAA Zone Cuts. Sophomore Annie Haluch finished in second place with a score of 232.58, and freshman Bella Basford finished in fourth place with a score of 230.33.

Ellsworth finished the 200 IM in second place with a time of 2:07.21, and Daigneault finished in third place with a time of 2:07.66.

In the final event of the meet, Wittenberg, Szoke, Claypoole, and Buroker competed in the 200-yard free relay and finished in first place with a time of 1:33.82.

The Bobcats return to the pool on Nov. 20-Nov. 23 at the TYR '85 Invite, hosted by Liberty University, in Lynchburg, Va.


Bowling Green Defeats Eastern Michiganh for the Second Time in Program History | Results
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green women's swimming and diving made history Friday night, defeating Eastern Michigan 161-139 at Cooper Pool. The Falcons (7-0, 2-0) earned just their second-ever win against the Eagles, improving on a 1-17 all-time record entering the meet.

BGSU opened the meet with a win in the 400-yard medley relay, as Emily McNicolLauren JablonskiGrace Bodrock and Samia Becdach clocked a 3:45.88 finish. On the boards, senior Natalia Mayorga swept both diving events, winning the 1-meter (275.93) with an NCAA Zone qualifying score and 3-meter (306.08).

The Falcons continued to roll in the pool. Taylor Devorace took the 200 freestyle (1:54.49), while McNicol claimed victories in both the 100 (55.54) and 200 backstroke (2:02.72).

Bodrock emerged with a strong performance as well. She swept both butterfly events, winning the 200 (2:04.28) and 100 (56.26).

Becdach added wins in the 50 (23.51) and 100 freestyle (51.38) and placed second in the 200 IM (2:08.37) to help seal the meet.

Bowling Green, in the midst of one of their best starts in program history, will host UTRGV on Nov. 14 and 15 at Cooper Pool.


Miami Swim & Dive Defeats Northern Kentucky University | Results
OXFORD, Ohio — The Miami University swimming and diving team hosted Northern Kentucky University on Friday Nov. 7, 2025. The RedHawk women defeated the Norse, scoring 130 to Northern Kentucky's 57. The men bested Northern Kentucky as well, with a score of 109 to the Norse 84.

How it Happened:
  • The RedHawks kicked off their home opener with the women's 200-yard medley where the women's A,B and C team took home first, second and third respectively. Ella ZiegertNatalie GilsonKaylin Herbet and Julia Waechter turned in a combined time of 1:44.24. Chrisna BezuidenhoutAshley SegoJenna Halliday and Audrey Conley turned in a combined time of 1:47.17. Madison CamdenAvery CatalanoMadison Saldanha and Sarah Pophal earned a combined time of 1:50.23.
  • Gracie Gregory finished first in the women's 1000-yard freestyle, earning a time of 10:18.64.
  • After that came the women's 200-yard freestyle, where Waechter finished first, recording a time of 1:53.65. Pophal finished second with Conley right behind her in third, posting times of 1:55.73 and 1:56.42 respectively.
  • After that was the women's 50-yard freestyle where Ziegert finished first, turning in a time of 24.13. Catalano was next in second place posting a time of 24.84.
  • Herbet finished first in the women's 200-yard IM, posting a time of 2:06.06. Lauren Gualtieri was second earning a time of 2:12.91.
  • Next was the women's 100-yard butterfly where Piper Prince finished first, earning a time of 57.70. Madison Watschke finished second with a time of 58.50.
  • After that was the women's 100-yard freestyle where Gilson finished first, posting a time of 52.40. Sadanha was second with a time of 54.45.
  • Halliday finished first in the women's 100-yard backstroke earning a time of 57.44. Camden was second and Mady Bachmeier finished third with times of 57.64 and 58.67 respectively.
  • Sego was first in the women's 500-yard freestyle, recording a time of 5:14.19. Gualtieri was second with Kenadie Glasgow right behind her in third with times of 5:17.75 and 5:21.21 respectively.
  • The women's 100-yard breaststroke followed where Rebekah Gurley earned a time of 1:07.67.
  • The women's 200-yard freestyle relay was after that. Saldanha, Prince, Camden and Watschke turned in a combined time of 1:38.51.
UP NEXT: The RedHawks hit the road at Akron on Nov. 8, at 1 p.m. The women will take on Akron and Pittsburgh, while the men will only face off against Pittsburgh.
