KALAMAOO, Mich. – The final two doubles teams have secured their spot in the championship match of the 2025 Fall Individual Tennis Championship. Isabel Tanjuatco and Sarah Shahbaz from Ball State will face Amelia Tye and Ella Faessler of UMass on Sunday at Noon.

Tanjuatco and Shahbaz took out Buffalo’s duo of Esmee Andresen and Maria Glowacka, while Tye and Faessler took down Miami’s Oliveira and Faulkner. A score of 8-5 won both matches. This will be the first doubles team appearance in the championship final match for both the Minutewomen and Cardinals.

The two singles semifinal matches will kick off Sunday’s schedule at 10:00 AM. On one side of the bracket, BGSU’s Tia Clemens will play Toledo’s JJ Scholten. On the other side of the bracket, Toledo’s Izzy Barretto will take on Buffalo’s Esmee Andresen.

The winners will then play for the singles title match at 1:00 PM.
