Toledo vs. Rocket Invitational
TOLEDO, Ohio –
Toledo continued fall play by hosting DePaul in the Rocket Invitational at the UT Varsity Tennis Courts this weekend.

Sophomore Neha Guru tallied a 5-0 overall record throughout singles and doubles competition, winning two doubles matches with partner JJ Scholten and three singles matches. Scholten went 1-1 in singles play, defeating DePaul's Sasha Stula and falling to Hannah Smith.

The freshmen doubles team of Isabella Barretto and Anastasia Akuginova combined for a 3-0 record taking down three separate doubles pairings from DePaul. Sophomore Annika Munson posted a 2-1 singles record, tallying wins over Roberta Sechi and Helin Alvarez.

Quoting Head Coach Tracy Mauntler
"It was a great weekend of tennis against an extremely tough DePaul team. The lower half of our singles lineup got a lot of quality matches which was the goal. We know we are really strong at the top two positions and so we need to make sure we are just as strong with our depth. So many of our MAC matches were clinched by our 4,5 and 6 singles courts last season. Our depth looks great and I'm really happy with how the team is coming together."
