MAC Announces Week 11 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week Winners

Offensive Player of the Week
Kayla Perfect, Miami, Midfielder

Kayla Perfect scored or assisted on four of five RedHawk goals this week, contributing a goal and an assist in the win at Ohio and adding two assists in a win at Ball State for her first career multi-assist game. Perfect is averaging 1.10 ppg, the third-most in the MAC.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Gabby Lamparty, Bowling Green, Defender
Junior, Canfield, Ohio (South Range)
 
Gabby Lamparty played all 180 minutes as the Falcons allowed just one goal last week, and the junior defender also scored a goal at the other end. Lamparty and her teammates held Buffalo scoreless on the road on Thursday night. Then, on Sunday, she helped the Falcons limit Akron to just one shot on goal, and she got forward to score the game-tying goal with just 25 seconds left in the match. On the season, Lamparty has played 1,599 minutes to lead all BGSU non-goalkeepers, and she has helped the Falcons keep seven clean sheets. Lamparty is second on the team with nine points, including three goals.

Junior Lexie Thompson continues to be a steadying force between the pipes as she helped lead the Bulls their league-best ninth shutout of the season on Thursday and a 3-1 road win at Toledo on Sunday. The Levittown, NY native has recorded a 12-3-2 overall record and is second in the MAC in goals against average (.60) and shutouts (8) while ranking fourth in save percentage (.833) across 17 contests. The Levittown, NY native currently ranks first in program history in career goals against average (0.67), fourth in wins (27) and fifth in shutouts (21).
