The Scholar Athlete of the Week Award is presented to a MAC male and/or female student-athlete who has a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and performs well during that week's competition. An institution can nominate up to one male and one female student-athlete per week in any of that current season's sports. The winners are selected by a representative of the MAC's Faculty Athletics Representatives (FARs).

Week’s Achievements (detailed description of week’s events): Junior Garret Pike enjoyed a monster week at the plate with a .529 batting average, six home runs, and 10 RBIs in four games. The junior outfielder also scored nine runs and drew three walks while registering an eye-popping 1.588 slugging percentage to help Toledo post a 3-1 record and win its Mid-American Conference series vs. Northern Illinois. After opening the week with a homer and three RBIs vs. Youngstown State on Tuesday, Pike registered two homers in back-to-back contests to help the Rockets win the first two games of their series vs. the Huskies. He then homered for a fourth-straight game in Saturday’s series finale. Pike's big week helped him take over the team lead in batting average (.352), runs (26), home runs (9), and RBIs (26).

Gabby Bailey won the discus throw at the Oliver Nikoloff with a MAC-leading mark of 187’-3”. Bailey’s top throw is more than 14’ further than any other conference student-athlete this season and puts her at #14 on the national performance list.
