Kobayashi, Lehto Earn Week 10 Softball Honors

Kobayashi was electric this weekend. She hit four homers in a three-game series and led the RedHawks. She also led Miami in batting average (.667), hits (6), RBI (10), slugging percentage (2.111) and on base percentage (.636). In the final game of the series she hit two homers and went 3-for-4 at the plate. In that game she was also responsible for four RBI. She brought in four RBI as well in the second game of the doubleheader on Saturday.
 
MAC Softball Pitcher of the Week
Grace Lehto, Senior, RHP, Central Michigan

Grace Lehto was in pure form over the weekend for the Chippewas posting a 0.00 ERA leading CMU to three MAC wins. In her two complete games, Lehto issued just five hits to the Buffalo Bulls while collecting 17 strikeouts in the three-game series. In the 12 innings pitched for the senior, Lehto led the defense to 6 1-2-3 innings proving her efficiency in her outings. Lehto did not allow a single run to cross the plate in her two games, as the Chippewas held the Bulls scoreless all weekend. Lehto held the Bulls to a .125 batting average over the three games as she recorded her 15th and 16th career shutouts. The two games Lehto pitched, the Chippewas won in 6 innings in run-rule fashion.
