No. 3 Ohio Runs Past No. 6 Western Michigan; Clinches Final Spot in Semifinals

CLEVELAND, Ohio-- No. 3 Ohio ran past No. 6 Western Michigan by a final score of 82-55 to secure the fourth and final spot in the 2024 MAC Men's Basketball Tournament semifinals. The Bobcats will take on No. 2 Akron at 7:30 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network on Friday night.  

A balanced offensive attack from the Bobcats led the charge in Ohio's opening tournament game as a trio of players reached double figures, led by Shareef Mitchell with 15 points. Jaylin Hunter and Miles Brown were right behind Mtichell, tallying 13 points apiece. 

AJ Clayton and Aiden Hadaway led Ohio's effort on the glass, reeling in 11 rebounds each.

Clayton also added seven points and three blocks, while Hadaway scored nine points and dished out four assists. 

B. Artis White led the Broncos with 12 points, knocking down four three-pointers. Owen Lobsinger also reached double figures, notching 11 points to go along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
