2024 Taking #MACtion Summit: Social Media Recap

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference hosted its ninth annual “Taking MACtion” Summit on Jan. 22, 2024 at the Aloft Hotel in downtown Cleveland. This year’s Summit focused on “Creating Positive Culture” and highlighted three topical issues focusing on Individual Development, Inclusion, and Mental Health.
 
The Summit featured over 230 individuals, including student-athletes, across all 12 MAC institutions and produced speakers that included Human2Human Founder/CEO Anya Covington, Athlete Ally Director of Research Dr. Anna Baeth, NCAA Sport Science Institute Director of Policy, Education, and Strategic Engagement Anne Rohlman, and NCAA Sport Science Institute Director of Health Promotion Carey Wheelhouse. Each session incorporated a topic driven presentation, followed by breakout sessions that promoted discussion to stimulate different ideas and solutions to the topics raised from the directed questions.

MAC Commissioner Jon Steinbrecher began the summit with opening remarks on Monday morning.
