Offensive Player of the Week
Alisa Arthur, Kent State, Midfielder
Junior, Miamisburg, Ohio (Miamisburg)

Alisa Arthur scored twice to help lead Kent State to a pair of wins to start conference play. Against Ohio on Thursday, she netted the game-winner in the 10th minute to give the Flashes the 1-0 win. She then scored the tying goal in the rivalry game against Akron on Sunday, beating the keeper in the 82nd minute. 

Arthur paced the Flashes' attack all weekend, generating 11 shots and putting 7 on goal. The junior leads the Golden Flashes in points (8) and goals (3) so far this season.

Defensive Player of the Week
Kelsey Salopek, Kent State, Midfielder
Sophomore,  Munhall, Pa. (Steel Valley)

Kelsey Salopek was instrumental in the Golden Flashes' 2-0 start to conference play, playing 171 minutes on defense. 

She was instrumental in Kent State's shutout win over Ohio on Thursday, not allowing a shot on goal until the 86th minute. On Sunday, Salopek came through in the clutch and netted the game winner in the rivalry game against Akron, scoring from nearly 30 yards out to give the Flashes the 2-1 edge in the 88th minute. Salopek also played the full 90 minutes against the Zips.
