Taylor Williams, Forward, Western Michigan
Redshirt junior Taylor Williams reeled in an impressive week filled with season and career highs in Western Michigan’s contests with Bowling Green and Akron. Williams shot 19-of-31 (61.3 percent) from the field and 8-of-11 (72.7 percent) from the line this past week to register 23.0 PPG, 10.5 RPG, and 4.5 APG. She tallied 4.5 assists, 1.0 steals, and 2.5 blocks per game. In Wednesday’s matchup with the Falcons, the forward led WMU at 17 points to record her seventh double-double of the season. She also led the night with 12 rebounds, while adding three blocks, two assists, and one steal. Williams then recorded her season-high 29 points against Akron on Saturday to tie for the 11th-most points scored in a single game in school history. She shot 12-of-19 from the field and 5-of-7 from the line, with the 12 made field goals marking a new season high. Williams registered nine rebounds, two blocks, one steal, and an impressive seven assists. Her seven assists were a career high.
