CMU's Norris Earns Women's Basketball Player of the Week Accolades

MAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Rochelle Norris, Center, Central Michigan
Central Michigan's Rochelle Norris averaged a double-double -- 21 points, 12.5 rebounds -- as the Chippewas opened MAC play with a 79-62 home win over NIU and then dropped a 70-63 decision at Buffalo. Norris made an astounding 90 percent of her field goal attempts (18 for 20) on the week and was 6-for-8 (75 percent) from the free throw line. She had 17 points and 11 boards, added five blocks, against the Huskies and then had 25 points and 14 rebounds against the Bulls. Both totals are career bests for the 6-foot-5 junior. Her .923 shooting performance (12-for-13) ranks as the third-most efficient game in CMU program history and her 12 field goals ties for the most by a MAC player this season. Her 14 rebounds against the Bulls tie for the fourth most by a MAC player this season.
