Toledo's Lockett Earns Player of the Week Honors

MAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Quinesha Lockett, Guard, Toledo
Quinesha Lockett helped propel the Rockets to two wins last week, an 82-63 home victory over Miami on Wednesday and a 79-73 comeback win at Eastern Michigan in overtime. In the win over Miami, Lockett led the way with 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting while dishing out six assists and grabbing four rebounds. In Saturday's win at Eastern Michigan, Lockett led Toledo with 25 points and helped spark a spirited fourth-quarter comeback. The Rockets trailed by 12 points with less than six minutes to play, but came back to force overtime and eventually pulled away in overtime for the win. Lockett also tallied five assists, five rebounds, and three steals, and did the bulk of her scoring at the free throw line. She set a career high with 15 free throws, one off the Toledo single-game school record of 16 free throws.  Lockett reached an impressive personal milestone in Wednesday's game, passing two former Rocket legends (Kelly Savage and Kim Sekulski) to move into sixth place all-time in program history in career points. Locket has 1,722 career points, more than any other current MAC player.
