Jason Shokalook, Forward, Akron
Akron sophomore forward Jason Shokalook turned in a stellar performance in sparking the Zips to a 5-3 road victory over No. 18 Florida International on Aug. 25 in the squad’s season opener. He directed the Zips' offensive performance with his second career multi-goal affair, while also netting an assist. He connected on both his shots in the affair, delivering a goal at the 42:33 mark before scoring the game-winning tally in the 85th minute (84:58). He also assisted on Johnny Fitzgerald’s goal at the 16:31 mark.
 
On the season, Shokalook owns team-high marks in goals (2), points (5) and game-winners (1).

Niall Reid-Stephen, Forward, Chicago State
Against Northwestern playing a man down, Niall Reid-Stephen put in a 2 goal performance leading the line for a Chicago State Men's Soccer team playing down a man. His two goals ensured a point in a tight contest between Chicago State and Northwestern.
 
Angel Rodriguez, Midfielder, Northern Illinois
Angel Rodriguez provided an offensive spark for the Huskies as they split a pair of games against San Francisco and Saint Mary’s (Calif.). In the opener against San Francisco (Aug. 25), Rodriguez made his first career appearance as a sub at halftime and helped spark the NIU attack to life as the Huskies scored two second half goals. Three days later at Saint Mary’s (Aug. 28), Rodriguez made his first start and scored a goal 11 minutes into the contest as the Huskies topped the Gaels, 2-1.
