Four MAC Student-Athletes Chosen in MLS SuperDraft

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Four Mid-American Conference student-athletes were chosen in last night’s Major League Soccer SuperDraft. Bowling Green defender Joey Akpunonu was chosen in the first round with the 22nd overall pick by FC Cincinnati. Western Michigan had three student-athletes chosen: defender Daniel Nimick was chosen in the second round with the 42nd overall pick by FC Vancouver. WMU goalkeeper Hunter Morse will be teammates with BGSU's Akpunonu, selected by FC Cincinnati in the second round with the 51st overall pick, while Bronco forward Charlie Sharp was taken by Toronto FC in round three with the 61st overall pick.
