Men's Track Athlete of the Week
Anthony Camerieri, Miami University, Track
Senior,  Brecksville, OH
Anthony Camerieri captured 10th in the 5000-meter race with a time of 13:48.58 at the Stanford Invite, a PR by 24 seconds. Anthony is currently ranked first in the MAC.
 
Men's Field Athlete of the Week
Hunter Garretson, Akron, Field
Freshman, Newcomerstown, Ohio
Freshman Hunter Garretson captured the men's pole vault at the Northeast Ohio Tri-Meet eclipsing 17-5.50 (5.32m). He owns the No. 1 mark in the MAC this season (17-6.50/5.35m) and No. 10 effort in the NCAA this spring.
 
Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Carmen Riano, Miami University, Track
Junior, Peralta, Spain
Carmen Riano was Miami's top performer at the Stanford Invitational this past weekend capturing first place in the 3000-meter steeplechase race. Riano finished with a time of 9:57.42 which was a personal best. Riano is the new school record holder and first RedHawk to run under 10 minutes in the event.
 
Women's Field Athlete of the Week
Zaresha Neal, Bowling Green, Field
Senior, Findlay, OH (Findlay)
Neal won both the shot put and discus events at Cincinnati's Oliver Kikoloff Invitational, which featured 20+ teams. She had a PR throw in the discus of 52.37m, which is the top throw in the MAC and 32nd best in the nation. Won the shot put with her second-best throw of the season, which was fifth-best in the MAC (she currently holds MAC's best throw)"

Mike Neeson, Buffalo, Track
Senior, Sanatoga, Pa. / Pottsgrove
Mike Neeson placed seventh out of 27 runners in a highly competitive 10,000-meter run field at the Colonial Relays. His time of 30:08.92 ranks sixth in the UB record books. He currently sits at sixth in the MAC.
 
Eddie Zuercher, Eastern Michigan, Track
Junior, Rocky River, Ohio
On the track, junior captain Eddie Zuercher competed in his first collegiate 800m race, crossing the finish line in 1:57.11 for seventh at the Spartan Invitational, April 2.
 
Zarik Brown, Akron, Track
Sophomore, Dayton, Ohio
Akron sophomore Zarik Brown captured the men's 400-meter title, while running on the winning 4x400 relay squad for the Zips at the Northeast Ohio Tri-Meet on Saturday. He ran the fastest time in the MAC this season, 46.85, a mark that also stands as the No. 5 mark in outdoor program history and No. 48 performance in the NCAA this spring.
 
Ryan Fong, Buffalo, Field
Senior, Great Neck, N.Y.
In his first meet for UB, Ryan Fong threw 176’-10”, placing 3rd at the Geneseo Early Season Invitational in the javelin throw. He currently ranks sixth in the MAC. 
 
Nolan Landis, Kent State, Field
R. So., Madison, Ohio/ Madison
Nolan Landis won the shot put and placed second in the discus throw Saturday at the Northeast Ohio Quad. Landis took the lead in the shot put in the third round and followed with a winning mark of 16.54m (54’-3.25”) on his fourth attempt. He followed with an opening throw of 51.95m (170’-5”) in the discus, the best by a MAC throw this week. He recorded a foul on his second attempt and then passed on his final four opportunities to improve his mark.
 
Newlyn Stephenson, Eastern Michigan, Field
Junior, Gary, Ind./Thea Bowman Leadership Academy
Junior Newlyn Stephenson was the top collegiate competitor in the men's hammer throw at the Spartan Invitational, April 1, finishing second overall with a toss of 63.96m, .01 meters off from tying his career-high.
 
Ryan Smith, Miami, Field
Junior, Cincinnati, OH/Moeller
Ryan Smith finished first in three events at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio this past Saturday afternoon. He won the discus with a throw of 51.66m, shot put with a throw of 16.72m, and javelin with a throw of 57.54m.
 
Benja Duff, Kent State, Track
Redshirt Senior, Columbus, Ohio/Gahanna Lincoln
Benja Duff recorded a personal-best 100-meter hurdles time for the second week in a row, sprinting to victory in 13.94 seconds Saturday at the Northeast Ohio Quad. Duff’s time is tied for the seventh fastest in Kent State history and was the best by a MAC hurdler this past week.           
 
Priscilla Faa, Buffalo, Track
Fifth Year, Jamaica, N.Y. / John Bowne
Priscilla Faa ran a season’s best time of 24.93-seconds in the 200-meter dash, placing ninth overall in the field at the Colonial Relays. Her time ranks fifth in the MAC. 
 
Margrett Watt, University of Toledo, Track
Freshman, Winnipeg, Man.
Margrett Watt registered a fourth-place finish, earning five team points, to help Toledo earn a 10th-place finish (26 points) at University of Cincinnati's Olive Nikoloff Invitational over the weekend (April 1-2). Watt's time of 2:11.91 is the fifth-best time in program history for the 800m Run and the fourth fastest time amongst MAC opponents.
 
Grace Johnson, Western Michigan, Track
Sophomore, Troy, Mich./Troy
Grace Johnson had WMU's top finish in the running events at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational, taking third overall in the 100-meter hurdles. Johnson ran  a time of 14.22 seconds in the event for her highest finish so far during the outdoor season. 
 
Fegor Clifford, Akron, Track
Freshman, Delta State Nigeria
Akron freshman Fegor Clifford turned in an outstanding week for the Zips at the Northeast Ohio Tri-Meet as she captured a pair of individual titles as well as running on the winning 4x100 and 4x400 relay squads to account for four wins for the Zips. She won the women's 400-meter hurdles crossing the line in 60.56 and owns the top time in the MAC this season and No. 43 in the NCAA. She finished first in the women's triple jump with a season-best mark of 39-1.75 (11.93m), while running the anchor legs on both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.                                             
 
Gabby Bailey, Kent State, Field
Senior, Portmore, Jamaica/St. Jago
Gabby Bailey claimed a pair of victories at the Northeast Ohio Quad on Saturday. Bailey recorded a mark of 52.17m (171’-2”) in the discus throw, which gives her a #35 national ranking this season. Earlier in the day, she won the shot put with a throw of 15.58m (51’-1.5”).
 
Asia Hoyte, Buffalo, Field
Graduate Student, Rochester, N.Y. / Pittsford Mendon
At the Colonial Relays, Asia Hoyte threw another personal best mark of 175’-3” in the hammer throw, placing third in the championship division. Her mark ranks her seventh in the MAC, and 10th in the UB all-time top-10 list. 
 
Jazmyn Smith, Northern Illinois, Field
Senior,  Pinecrest, Fla. / Gulliver Prep
Jazmyn Smith won the long jump competition at Illinois State’s Redbird Invite with a best jump of 5.99 meters (19-08.00). Smith's best leap came on her sixth, and final, attempt of the competition to overtake Loyola Chicago's Melissa Parrella (5.92m) for the top spot. Smith’s mark is the top jump in the MAC this season and is tied for 55th nationally. 
 
Kadian Clarke, Eastern Michigan University, Field
Senior, Kingston, Jamaica
Senior thrower Kadian Clarke had a phenomenal weekend at the Spartan Invitational, April 1-2. On the first day of competition, Clarke took first in the hammer throw with a mark of 55.64m. The following afternoon, the Kingston, Jamaica native produced great efforts in both the discus and shot put. In the discus competition, the senior finished third with a personal-best throw of 45.05m. Her 45.05m performance places her second all-time in the event in the EMU record book. Also on Saturday, Clarke captured the shot put crown with a 15.63m heave, the best outdoor throw in school history, topping her 15.51m effort set last week at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational, March 26.
 
Currently, the senior’s shot put record ranks second in the Mid-American Conference and 45th in the nation. Additionally, her discus 45.05m discus throw ranks eighth in the league, while her 56.92m hammer throw from the previous weekend is second.
 
Promise Cross, University of Toledo, Field
Sophomore, Morehead, KY
Promise Cross registered a fourth-place finish in the high jump to earn five points towards Toledo's 10th-place finish (26 points) at the University of Cincinnati's Oliver Nikoloff Invitational this past weekend (April 1-2). Cross jumped 1.66m in the high jump for a fourth-place finish, which is good enough for T-4 amongst MAC opponents. Cross was also part of the Toledo "A" team that took fourth in the 1600m relay with a time of 4:01.45, contributing another five team points.       
 
Madison Ochs, Western Michigan, Field
Senior, Chesterton, Ind./Chesteron
Ochs had WMU's top finish in the field events at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational. The senior took third in the discus with a distance of 148' 2", moving her up to sixth on the MAC's performance list.
 
Abby Knouff, Akron, Field
Freshman, Tallmadge, Ohio
Akron sophomore Abby Knouff captured a pair of events for the Zips at the Northeast Ohio Tri-Meet this past Saturday winning the women's pole vault and long jump. Knouff equaled a career-best clearance of 13-3.50 (4.05m), the top performance in the MAC this season, to take the title in the women's pole vault. She then made her collegiate debut in the women's long jump and placed first with a career-best mark of 17-5.25 (5.31m).
 
Taylor Manley, Miami University, Field
Freshman, Frankfort, KY
Taylor Manley finished first in the triple jump at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational this past Saturday afternoon in Cincinnati, Ohio. She won the event with a jump of 12.08m.
