Men’s Soccer Player of the Week
Sergi Martinez, Forward, Bowling Green
In the final game of his collegiate career, Bowling Green’s Sergi Martinez had two goals and two assists as the Falcons posted a 6-0 win over Northern Illinois. He assisted on the game-winning goal, then had back-to-back BG goals in the second half. Martinez finished the season with team-high totals of eight assists and 18 points, and he was second on the Falcons in goals, with five.

Jason Shokalook, Forward, Akron
Akron sophomore forward Jason Shokalook turned in a stellar performance this past week for the Zips netting a team-high two goals on a four shots, including a trio on goal. He netted his team-leading ninth goal of the season in the second minute (1:29) in a 1-1 draw with Western Michigan on Nov. 6 enabled the Zips to capture their 21st Mid-American Conference regular season title and extend Akron’s unbeaten streak to 10 matches. In the Akron’s 4-0 win over Chicago State on Nov. 2, he registered a 68th-minute (68:00) tally. Shokalook has now scored a goal in four consecutive contests and leads the Zips in goals (9), points (24), shots (38) and shots on goal (22), while ranking second in game-winners (2) and third in assists (6) on the campaign.
Hunter Morse, Goalkeeper, Western Michigan
Morse was stellar in goal for the Broncos as they wrapped up the season tying No. 12 Akron, 1-1. The graduate transfer made seven saves to keep the Broncos in the game and then hold the tie. The result helped WMU move up in the RPI ranking and further add to their NCAA Tournament resume.
