CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Mid-American Conference announced its 2022 women's soccer All-MAC teams, its Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Coach of the Year on Tuesday, as voted by the league's head coaches.
Buffalo's Shawn Burke was named MAC Coach of the Year, while Bowling Green's Kennedy White was named the MAC Offensive Player of the Year. Buffalo's Ellie Simmons took home Defensiive Player of the Year honors, while Emily Kelly picked up Goalkeeper of the Year recognition. Ball State's Delaney Caldwell rounded out the Speciality Awards by being named the Freshman of the Year.
In addition, the All-MAC First Team & Second Team was announced, as well as the All-Freshman squad.
The MAC Women's Soccer Championship semifinals will take place on Thursday as No. 1 Bufaflo takes on No. 5 Miami at 5 pm ET (ESPN+), while No. 2 Ball State will face off against No. 3 Bowling Green at 7:30 pm ET (ESPN+). The winner will take home the MAC title and will earn a spot in the upcoming NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament.
