Miami Claims 22nd MAC Men's Cross Country Title


ATHENS, Ohio -- The Miami RedHawks captured the 2022 MAC Men's Cross Country Championship, their 22nd overall and first since 2018. Miami finished with a team total of 46 points, followed by Toledo with a total of 54 points. 

Miami's Obsaa Feda finished with the Men's indivual title, posting an official time of 23:39.7. It marks the first time since 2005 that a RedHawk student-athlete has claimed the individual title. 

Miami Freshman Patrick Will earned the MAC 2022 Cross Country Freshman of the Year award after finishing in 16th with a time of 24:18.2. 

Feda finished in first place by pulling away right at the end of the race. Mhalicki Bronson finished in eighth place with a time of 23:56.2. Jake Bertlesen finished 10th with a time of 23:58.8, while Max Polak was right behind him with a time of 24:05.2. The next runner for the RedHawks was Patrick Wills, who finished in 16th place with a time of 24:18.2.
