MAC Announces Field Hockey Players of the Week

MAC Co-Field Hockey Offensive Players of the Week
Clara Rodriguez Seto, Kent State University, Midfield
Fifth Year, BARCELONA, SPAIN (AGORA SANT CUGAT)
Fifth year Clara Rodriguez Seto did it all for Kent State this past weekend in their games against Appalachian State and No. 9 Liberty. In the Flashes 2-1 overtime win against Appalachian State, Rodriguez Seto scored to put Kent State up 1-0 as well as scored the top shelf game winner in overtime. She also recorded a defensive save in both games and added an assist on the Flashes only goal against Liberty.
Anna Crump, Bellarmine, Forward
Sophomore, Louisville, KY
Anna Crump scored her fourth and fifth goals in the last four games against Central Michigan on Friday. Crump epitomized the effort of Bellarmine that afternoon - making the most of the opportunities presented.  The Knights as a team had just 5 shots but scored three times.  Crump's effort continued the best offensive stretch of her career and helped give Bellarmine its first two-game win streak in the Division I era.
MAC Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week
Azure Fernsler, Kent State University, Goalkeeper
Fifth Year, SINKING SPRING, PA. (WILSON)
Fifth year goalkeeper Azure Fernsler was nothing short of amazing in Kent State’s games against Appalachian State and No. 9 Liberty. Her play was instrumental in the Flashes 2-1 overtime win against the Mountaineers and was a major reason for why Kent State was able to stay close to Liberty. Fernsler recorded a season and career high in saves with 17 against the Flames, including stopping a penalty stroke, and only allowed three goals combined over both games while facing 28 total shots on goal. She finished with 22 saves on the weekend.
