MAC WITH 14 WRESTLERS NAMED AS ALL-AMERICANS BY NATIONAL WRESTLING COACHES ASSOCIATION
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced the 2020 Division I All-American Teams and recognized 14 wrestlers from the Mid-American Conference. The NWCA recognized four First-Team All-Americans, three Second-Team All-Americans and seven additional with Honorable Mention selection.

Each year the NWCA recognizes the outstanding work of the Division I student-athlete by naming the All-Americans based on their achievements in the national championship, however, this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic the championships were canceled. All-American honors were based on each wrestler’s overall body of work through the conference tournaments and up to the national championships.

The National Wrestling Coaches Association, established in 1928, is a non-profit organization for the advancement of all levels of the sport of wrestling with primary emphasis on developing coaches who work in academic environments. The three core competencies of the NWCA are: Coaching Development, Student-Athlete Welfare, and the Promotion of Wrestling.
