MAC EAST DIVISION PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Erica Johnson, Ohio    
Guard, Redshirt Sophomore, Mansfield, Ohio (Mansfield Senior)  
 
Redshirt sophomore guard Erica Johnson flirted with a triple-double in Ohio's game of the week, a win over Miami, 84-70. Johnson posted 23 points on 8-of-20 shooting with four made threes. Johnson added nine assists and eight rebounds, including one on the offensive end. 
 
MAC WEST DIVISION PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Thelma Dis Agustsdottir, Ball State   

Forward, Sophomore, Keflavik, Iceland        
 
Agustsdottir registered a career high 26-point performance on the road at Buffalo Saturday, helping the Cardinals to a 69-58 victory over the Bulls and to complete the two-game season sweep for the first time since the 2015-16 MAC season. Agustsdottir shot a staggering 76 percent (10-13) from the field and 85 percent (6-7) from behind the arc. Not only was she on point with her offensive game but Agustsdottir pulled down seven rebounds, dished out two assists and played the entire 40 minutes without a foul against the Bulls. Agustsdottir helped the Cardinals win their fourth-straight league game. Agustsdottir opened the week helping Ball State take down MAC West Division rival Toledo in Savage Arena after scoring eight points along with making some defensive plays to help the Cardinals to their 60-58 win over the Rockets. For the week, Agustsdottir averaged 17.0 points per contest while shooting 68 (13-19) percent from the field and 70 percent (7-10) from behind the arc.

Shaunay Edmonds, Akron

The Zips starting point guard, Shaunay Edmonds, helped lead Akron to a 1-1 week against Kent State and Eastern Michigan. Edmonds averaged a team-best 17.0 points per game along with 2.5 rebounds/game, 2.0 assists/game, and 2.0 steals/game while shooting an efficient 54.2-percent from the floor, 85.7-percent from the free-throw line and sunk two triples. Against the Golden Flashes, Edmonds scored a game-high 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting, grabbed four rebounds, three steals, and two assists. The Zips senior guard turned in back-to-back double-digit performances scoring a team-high 15 points against the Eagles shooting 6-for-11. 
 
Angela Perry, Bowling Green
Center, Junior, Rochester, Ill. (Rochester)    
 
Bowling Green’s Angela Perry averaged a team-high 18.5 points and continued her red-hot shooting form last week. Perry also averaged 6.5 rebounds per game in two close contests. Against Eastern Michigan, Perry had a team-leading 18 points and made 7-of-8 shots from the field. Then, at Central Michigan, she recorded her second double-double of the season, with 19 points and a BG-best 10 rebounds against the MAC leaders. Perry is now shooting 59.2% from the floor, ranking 12th in the nation, and is averaging a BG-best 14.3 ppg on the year.
 
Theresa Onwuka, Buffalo      
Guard, Senior, Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria (Lake Forest Academy)
 
Senior guard Theresa Onwuka led the Bulls in scoring and rebounding on the week, averaging 13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games. Onwuka is second on the team in scoring at 14.3 points per game, while leading the team in rebounding at 7.2 boards per contest. The Nigeria native has now scored in double figures in 17 of UB's 23 games this season and leads the team with 65 steals.
 
Kyra Bussell, Central Michigan          
Forward, Junior, Grand Rapids, Mich. (Grand Rapids Catholic Central)      
 
Central Michigan junior forward Kyra Bussell put together an impressive outing this past Saturday as the Chippewas took down Bowling Green 82-75 inside McGuirk Arena to run their Mid-American Conference record to a perfect 12-0. The Grand Rapids, Mich., native paced the offense with 23 points on 9-of-20 shooting including a career-best 5-of-8 clip from long range. She also brought down seven rebounds to go along with a pair of steals and a block on the defensive end. On the season, Bussell ranks No.2 on the team and No.5 in the conference in field goal percentage (.498). 
 
Jenna Annecchiarico, Eastern Michigan       
Guard, Sophomore, Baldwin, N.Y. (Baldwin)           
 
Sophomore Jenna Annecchiarico led EMU as it notched its seventh conference win of the season, over BGSU, Feb. 12. The seven MAC wins are the most under fourth-year head coach Fred Castro. Annecchiarico dropped 22 points in her encore performance from a career-high 31-point day at Western Michigan, Feb. 8. Annecchiarico has now scored in double-digits 10 times this season, including in each of her last five games.  The Baldwin, N.Y. native has recorded at least one steal in each of the Eagles' last 16 contests, dating back to Dec. 7, at Wichita State. She is first on the team with 46 steals, and her 2.0 SPG average is sixth-best in the conference. Her 1.6 assist-to-turnover ratio is third in the league, while her 3.4 assists per game ranks 11th. The Baldwin, N.Y. native leads EMU in both categories. 

Katie Shumate, Kent State    
Guard, Freshman, Newark, Ohio (Newark)  
 
Katie Shumate averaged 18 points and 6.5 rebounds to lead Kent State to a 2-0 week that puts the Golden Flashes fourth in the conference standings. Shumate scored 14 of her career-high 24 points in the opening period to set the tone in an 86-67 victory over Toledo on Saturday. She had 12 points in Wednesday’s game at rival Akron. Shumate shot 60-percent from the floor for the week.
 
Courtney Woods, NIU            
Forward, Redshirt-Senior, Brisbane, Australia/St. Margaret's        
 
Courtney Woods averaged 19 point and 8.5 rebounds per game this week as NIU split games against Miami and Western Michigan. The fifth-year senior had her second double-double of the season in NIU’s 86-84 overtime win over Miami on Wednesday night, leading NIU with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Woods made the game-winning basket that night with 1.6 seconds left in OT. She followed that up with 18 points and seven rebounds against Western Michigan on Saturday. 
 
Mariella Santucci, University of Toledo        
Guard, Senior, Bologna, Italy
 
Senior Mariella Santucci averaged a team-high 14.5 points, a squad-best 7.0 rebounds, a squad-tying high 4.0 assists and 0.5 steals in two games last week. The only Rocket to score in double figures in both games, Santucci shot a team-high 61.5 percent (8-of-13) from the field, including a perfect 3-of-3 from three-point land, and a near perfect 90.9 percent (10-of-11) from the charity stripe in 26.5 minutes. The 2019-20 team captain opened the week with a team-high 16 points, a squad-best nine boards and three helpers in 31 minutes vs. Ball State on Wednesday. Three days later against Kent State, the Bologna, Italy native tallied a team-high 13 points, five caroms, a squad-tying best five dimes and one steal in 22 minutes. Santucci has now scored in double figures in a season-high five-consecutive games, averaging a team-high 18.6 ppg.
 
Breanna Mobley, Western Michigan
Forward, RSr., Lansing/Waverly        
 
Breanna Mobley continues to dominate for the Broncos. On Wednesday against Buffalo, she helped the team to a 74-62 victory. Mobley tallied her second straight double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds. On Saturday in another win, this time against Northern Illinois, she had 18 points and 11 rebounds, good for her 15th double-double of the season. Mobley shot an impressive 71.4 percent from the field over two games and continues to average a double-double on the season with 14.2 points and 10.9 rebounds per contest.
