Woods and Johnson Tabbed as WBB Players of the Week

WBB EAST DIVISION PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Erica Johnson, Ohio

Redshirt sophomore guard Erica Johnson had 20+ points in Ohio's two wins last week. Johnson started the week off with her fifth double-double (20 points, 10 rebounds) of the season in Ohio's 75-65 win at Eastern Michigan. On Saturday, Johnson had a game-high 22 points and hit two threes while pulling down seven rebounds, adding five assists and five steals. For the week, Johnson averaged 21.0 points per game, 8.5 rebounds per game, 3.5 assists per game and 3.0 steals per game.

WBB WEST DIVISION PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Courtney Woods, NIU

Courtney Woods became the third Huskie in NIU women’s basketball history to reach 2,000 career points this week, accomplishing that feat at Central Michigan on Wednesday night. Needing two points to get to 2,000, Woods led NIU with 18 points and 10 rebounds against the Chippewas. It was her first double-double since March 5, 2018. On Saturday, Woods scored a season-high 32 points as NIU won at Bowling Green 92-87 in overtime. She had 23 points in the second half and overtime, adding a game-high four assists and two steals. For the week, Woods averaged 25 points and nine rebounds per game and shot 44 percent from the field.

Dyaisha Fair, Buffalo  

Guard, Freshman, Rochester, NY (Edison Tech)       
 
Freshman Dyaisha Fair led the Bulls in scoring in their lone game of the week, scoring 20 points to go with six points, two assists and three steals in a loss to Toledo. The Rochester, NY native is currently in the top 15 in the country in scoring (22.4) and three point field goals made per game (3.05).
 
Micaela Kelly, Central Michigan

Central Michigan junior guard Micaela Kelly logged another impressive week as the Chippewas ran their Mid-American Conference record to a perfect 11-0 with victories over Northern Illinois and Miami (OH). The Detroit native averaged 19 points per contest over the two-game span to go along with 7.5 assists and rebounds respectively. In Wednesday's 66-60 home victory over the Huskies, Kelly posted 14 points with six assists to go along with a team-best nine rebounds. In Saturday's 99-87 road win over the RedHawks, she finished with 24 points, which matched a team-high, while dishing out a team-best nine assists to go along with six boards. On the season, Kelly is averaging 22.4 points per game which are tied for No.1 in the MAC and No.4 in the NCAA. 
 
Jenna Annecchiarico, Eastern Michigan       
Guard, Sophomore, Baldwin, N.Y. (Baldwin)           
 
Sophomore point guard Jenna Annecchiarico was outstanding for the Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team in its two games against Ohio, Feb. 5, and Western Michigan, Feb. 8.  The Baldwin, N.Y.-native began her impressive week on Tuesday as she put up 17 points and 10 rebounds against the Bobcats. The double-double performance was the first of her career, and both her point and rebound totals led the team. She added a team-best five assists, and has now registered three games with five-or-more assists this season. The second-year standout topped her midweek performance with the Saturday showing of her career, leading Eastern to a last-minute win, and capping a 10-point second half comeback, to beat in-state rival Western Michigan, Feb. 8. Annecchiarico dropped a career-best 31 points on 10-of-23 shooting. Electric from beyond-the-arc, she drained five three-point shots on 10 attempts. The Empire State-product was clutch from the charity stripe as well, going a perfect 6-of-6 to help close out the Broncos. With her performance, Annecchiarico has now scored in double-digits nine times this season, including in each of EMU’s last four games. Her 1.6 assist-to-turnover ratio ranks third in the Mid-American Conference, and her 3.4 apg average is 11th in the league. Additionally, only 12 games featuring MAC teams this year have seen better single-game scoring performances than that of Annecchiarico’s 31 points. An all-around player, Annecchiarico also ranks inside the MAC’s top-10 in steals per game (2.0).

Lauren Dickerson, Miami

Senior Lauren Dickerson became the second player in program history to reach 2,000 career points last week as she averaged 20.0 points per game and now has 2,055 points in a RedHawk uniform. Dickerson reached 2,000 in Monday's win against Western Michigan, scoring 21 points to lead the RedHawks' offense and adding seven assists. She scored 23 points in Wednesday's win against Toledo as she shot 10-of-18 from the floor and led the team to a season-high 92 points. On Saturday against Central Michigan, Dickerson recorded her second career double-double with 16 points and a career-high 12 assists.
 
Mariella Santucci, Toledo      
Guard, Senior, Bologna, Italy (Liceo Scientifico A.B. Sabin H.S.      
 
Senior Mariella Santucci averaged a team-high 22.0 points, a squad-best 6.5 rebounds and a team-high 7.5 assists in two games this past week. One of two Rockets to score in double figures in both road contests, Santucci shot a sizzling 68.2 percent (15-of-22) from the field, including a sensational 6-of-9 from three-point land, and a perfect 8-of-8 from the charity stripe in a team-high 33.5 minutes. The 2019-20 team captain opened the week with a career-best 31 points, a game-high nine boards, a contest-tying best six dimes and one steal in 34 minutes at Miami on Wednesday. Three days later against Buffalo, the two-time Academic All-MAC honoree tallied 13 points, four caroms and a season-high nine helpers in a squad-best 33 minutes. 
 
Breanna Mobley, Western Michigan

Breanna Mobley led the Broncos in scoring this week on the way to breaking Western Michigan's all-time rebounding record. On Monday against Miami, Mobley totaled 22 points with 14 rebounds. After surpassing 1,000 rebounds in the last contest, she racked up a quick 14 in back-to-back games to tie for the all-time career rebounding record of 1,028, originally set by Pat Charity ('78). On Saturday against Eastern Michigan, she tallied 10 rebounds to set a new Western Michigan rebounding record. Her 1,029th rebound to break the record came from a grab in the first minute of the game. Mobley now holds the rebounding record for both men's and women's basketball, and is the second-ever Bronco to have scored 1,000 points with 1,000 rebounds in her career, alongside WMU Hall of Fame legend Pat Charity. Mobley finished the contest with a game-high 22 points, earning her first double-double since January against Central Michigan.
