EMU Claims 24th MAC Men's Cross Country Championship


Bowling Green, Ohio. -- The Eastern Michigan Eagles captured their 24th MAC Men's Cross Country title this Saturday in Bowling Green. EMU finished with a team total of 39 points, followed by Miami with a total of 63 points. Head Coach of the Eagles Sue Parks becomes the first female coach to win a Men's Cross Country championship in MAC history. 

Ohio's Josh Park finished with the Men's indivual title, posting an official time of 23:57.9. This was the second individual title for Park as he earned the same honor at the 2018 race in Toledo. 

Eastern Michigan Freshman Toby Gualter earned the MAC 2020 Cross Country Freshman of the Year award after finishing in 10th with a time of 24:32.4. 

The NCAA Cross Country Championships will take place in Stillwater, Oklahoma on March, 15th 2021.
