MAC Announces Men's XC Runner of the Week

MAC Men’s XC Runner of the Week
Josh Park, Ohio 
Amherst, Ohio, Senior

Ohio senior Josh Park (Amherst, Ohio) picked up his second-straight win last Saturday (Nov. 7), crossing the finish line in 24:47.8 to help the Bobcats finish fourth as a team with 96 points at the 2020 Falcon Invitational in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Scott Loforte, Buffalo 
Canandaigua, NY, Junior

Junior Scott Loforte paced a solid UB performance at Tommy Evans Invite as the Bulls defeated Kent State.  Loforte finished in second place, clocking in at 24:48, just two seconds behind the leader. For Loforte the time was a new personal best.  As a team, UB finished in six of the top eight positions.

Adam Rzentkowski, Central Michigan
Rosholt, Wis., Sophomore

Placed fourth in the men's race in 25:01.9 at the Falcon Invitational, hosted by Bowling Green.

Toby Gualter, Eastern Michigan
New Zealand, R-Freshman 

After not competing in a cross country meet during his first season at Eastern Michigan University, redshirt freshman Toby Gualter (Tawa, New Zealand-Tawa College) kicked off the 2020 campaign with a bang, earning second place in his first-ever collegiate outing at the Falcon Invitational. At Bowling Green's 8k race, the New Zealand native led his fellow Eagles with a mark of 24:59.5, as the Green and White edged Miami (Ohio) by eight points to earn first place. Additionally, he outperformed four 2019 All-MAC selections (two first team, two second team) while finishing a hair behind the 2018 individual MAC Champion.
