Robles Grajera Honored as Men's Soccer Player of the Week

Robles Grajera scored the first two goals of his collegiate career – and they came within 32 seconds of each other – to help WVU to a 5-2 win over No. 15/16 Coastal Carolina on Sept. 13. Robles scored off a turnover for his first goal of the night before he headed a second in moments later on a beautiful ball sent into the box. The Burgos, Spain, native has five points on the year to co-lead the Mountaineers.

NIU sophomore Nick Markanich netted two goals and tallied one assist as the Huskies split a pair of matches against Marquette and Bradley. Markanich scored the opening goal at Marquette, his first of the season, and then added a goal and an assist against Bradley. Markanich’s game-winning goal against the Braves came in the 34th minute and was the 10th goal of his collegiate career. 
 
Eric Conerty, Western Michigan        
Forward, Sophomore, Grand Rapids, MI (Forest Hills Central)        
 
Conerty led the Broncos with three points (one goal, one assist) in a 5-1 victory against Cincinnati on Saturday afternoon. He scored his first points as a member of the Western Michigan men's soccer team after transferring from Butler.
