Junior Achille Robin's goal in the 72nd minute lifted the Bowling Green State University men's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Wright State University on Tuesday night (Nov. 5). The non-conference match was held at Alumni Field.

Freshman Nathan Masters drew the assist on Robin's goal, as the Falcons, now 10-6-1 on the year, captured the I-75 Cup. Senior Anthony Mwembia made two saves in goal to earn the shutout for the Brown and Orange.

BGSU outshot Wright State, 14-9, on the night. The Falcons had a 6-1 advantage in second-half shots, and did not allow a second-half shot until a WSU effort went wide with 1:30 to go.

THE I-75 CUP
• The Falcons, as mentioned, captured the I-75 Cup with Tuesday night's win. The cup, which goes to the winner of the BGSU-WSU game each year, was instituted by Falcon coach Eric Nichols and then-WSU coach Bryan Davis. BGSU is now 7-2-1 vs. the Raiders since the two coaches came up with the idea for the cup prior to the 2010 season.

NOTE OF THE NIGHT: ANOTHER CLEAN SHEET FOR ANTO
• Senior Anthony Mwembia and the BGSU back line earned the shutout on Tuesday night. For Mwembia and the Falcons, it marked the ninth clean sheet of the season. That is the highest single-season total – both by an individual and by the team – since BGSU Hall-of-Famer Scott Vallow and the Falcons kept 10 clean sheets in 1998.

• Mwembia now has a career total of 28 shutouts, ranking second on the BGSU list. He trails only Vallow, who had 42 career clean sheets for the Orange and Brown. Vallow (1995-98) had 10 or more shutouts in all four of his seasons at BG.
