Charlie Sharp scored two goals over two road matches for the Broncos. He scored the game winning goal at Oakland on Wednesday, and then put his team up by two late at West Virginia to secure the victory in their MAC opener on Sunday. He led WMU with three shots on goal against the Mountaineers. Sharp is now tied for the team lead in goals with 5 on the year.

Mid-American Conference leading scorer Jorge Gonzalez picked up his MAC-leading eighth goal of the year and his third assist of the season to lead SIUE past Northern Illinois in the Conference opener for both schools. The goal proved to be his fourth game-winning goal of the year, which ranks seventh in the country. He collected five total shots including a pair on goal. He leads the nation in shots on goal per game at 2.18.
 
Jan Maertins, NIU

Jan Maertins scored a goal and recorded two assists as NIU split a pair of matches against Eastern Illinois and SIU Edwardsville. Maertins assisted on each of NIU’s first two goals in a 5-1 victory against Eastern Illinois on Tuesday (Oct. 8), he then added his fourth goal of the season in the conference opener against SIU Edwardsville (Oct. 12). For the season, the Huskie senior forward has tallied four goals and three assists. 
 
Will Jackson, Akron

Akron freshman Will Jackson helped spark the Zips to a 2-1 victory in the Mid-American Conference opener on Saturday, Oct. 12, registering a goal and an assist. After missing Akron's match at Butler on Tuesday, Oct. 8, Jackson returned to the Zips' line-up against the Falcons and made an immediate impact on the contest. He garnered an assist completing the final pass to Diogo Pacheco for the tally in 34th minute (33:06) for his team-leading second assist of the year. He then recorded his first collegiate goal which turned out to be the game-winner at the 58:36 mark to extend Akron's lead to 2-0. He finished the contest registered a game-high four shots, including a pair on goal. On the year, he leads Akron in assists (2), while ranking second in goals (1), points (4) and shots on goal (10) and third in shots (21).
 
Chris Sullivan, Bowling Green

Bowling Green junior midfielder Chris Sullivan increased his point-scoring streak to four matches with a goal and an assist last week. On Tuesday, he had an assist on the lone goal of the match in BGSU’s 1-0 win at IUPUI. Sullivan made a nifty backheel pass, redirecting a ball out of the air and leading to a Kale Nichols goal late in the first half. Then, on Saturday, Sullivan scored the Falcons’ lone goal at Akron, stealing a pass from the UA goalkeeper, rounding the ‘keeper and firing the ball into the net. On the year, Sullivan now has 15 points on five goals and five assists, leading the Falcons in all three categories. As mentioned, he now has a four-match scoring streak, with seven points in that time. Sullivan now has 27 career points on nine goals and nine assists. Through 12 matches this season, he has topped his goal, assist and point totals for his first two years combined. Sullivan and the Falcons are 7-4-1 on the year, heading into next weekend’s match at SIUE.
