MAC Sees Six Wrestlers Earn At-Large Selections for NCAA Wrestling Championships

INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA announced its 46 at-large selections for next week’s 2025 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in Philadelphia, PA. The MAC, already allocated 23 qualifiers before the 2025 MAC Wrestling Championships, received two at-large and four alternate selections.

Reigning 2025 MAC Champion Lock Haven saw Colin Fegley (184) and heavyweight runner-up Tucker Hogan receive at-large selections, while Nicholas Stampoulos (157) was picked as an alternate.

Around the MAC, Northern Illinois’ Markel Baler (133), Rider’s Michael Wilson (174), and Central Michigan’s Luke Cochran (197) were also selected as alternates in their respective weight classes.

The at-large selections join the 284 student-athletes who qualified through their conference tournament finishes over the weekend.  The at-large selections were made by the NCAA Division I Wrestling Committee using the following selection criteria: head-to-head competition, quality wins, results against common opponents, winning percentage, rating percentage index, coaches ranking, and conference tournament finish.

Seeding and brackets for this year’s event will be revealed on Wednesday, March 12, during the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships Selection Show on NCAA.com at 8:00 PM (EST).
