KENT, Ohio – Kent State Dr. Paula Treckel Women's Golf junior Veronika Kedronová has been named the recipient of the 2026 Edith Cummings Munson Golf Award, the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced Tuesday.

The award is presented annually to the top upperclassman in Women's Division I Golf who earns both WGCA All-American Scholar and WGCA All-American recognition in the same season. Among qualifying student-athletes, the honor goes to the one with the highest GPA. A $10,000 donation is made from the Curtis & Edith Cummings Munson Foundation to Kent State's general scholarship fund in Kedronová's honor.

Kedronová joins a distinguished list of past recipients, including Leona Maguire (2017, 2018), Chiara Tamburlini (2022), Laney Frye (2023), and Louise Rydqvist (2024, 2025).

The honor caps off a standout third year for Kedronová, who finished the season ranked No. 22 nationally with an adjusted scoring average of 70.0. She earned 2026 WGCA Second Team All-America honors and a spot on the WGCA All-American Scholar Team, while picking up four individual wins on the year: the Canadian Collegiate Invitational, Landfall Tradition, Lady Luck Invitational, and the MAC Women's Golf Championship. Kedronová was also tabbed a 2026 CSC Academic All-American and a Golfweek All-America Second Team honoree, and she repeated as MAC Golfer of the Year while earning All-MAC First Team recognition.

A three-time WGCA All-American Scholar, Kedronová closed out her third year at Kent State with a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA as a finance major with a minor in accounting.
