AKRON, Ohio -- The Mid-American Conference has announced a change to the schedule of the 2026 MAC Softball Championship held at Firestone Stadium.
Due to weather, Game 9 of the tournament, originally scheduled for the evening of Friday, May 8, has been moved to Saturday morning with a first pitch at 11AM ET between No. 4 Ohio and No. 6 Western Michigan. The winner of Game 9 will then advance to take on No. 1 Akron in the championship game on Saturday, May 9 at 2PM ET.
If necessary, Game 11 of the tournament would be played on Sunday, May 10, at a time to be announced later. Stay tuned to @MACSports on social media or getsomemaction.com for further updates.
