Men's Golf All-MAC Teams Announced

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Today the Mid-American Conference announced the Men's Golf All-MAC First Team & Second Teams for the 2026 season. The teams were voted on by the league's nine head coaches.

Eastern Michigan's Charlie Box added another accolade to his standout junior campaign by earning First Team All-MAC honors after also being named MAC Golfer of the Year. Box, who tied for 24th at the 2026 MAC Championships at The Club at Holliday Farms, was one of only two players in the conference to record multiple tournament victories this season, capturing medalist honors with a playoff win at the West Bay Collegiate Invitational and tying for first at the Muirfield Shootout. His two victories marked the first time an Eastern Michigan golfer won multiple tournaments in a season since 2006-07 and made him one of only three Eagles golfers since 2000-01 to accomplish the feat in a career.

Joining Box on the First Team was Eastern Michigan teammate Robby Turnbull, who was also named the MAC Freshman of the Year after an impressive debut season. Kent State Isaiah Ibit earned First Team All-MAC recognition for the second consecutive season, while Liam Nelson secured a First Team selection after winning the 2026 MAC Men’s Golf Individual Championship. Toledo's Bence Kotel rounded out the First Team after capping his collegiate career with an All-Tournament Team performance at the MAC Championships, tying for fifth place and finishing just three strokes off the lead.

The Second Team selections were Ball State's Luke Johnston, Eastern Michigan's Joshua Hess, Miami's Brett Podobinski, NIU's Craig Long II, and Toledo's Bence Bertenyi.
