CLEVELAND, Ohio – Miami University was honored by the Mid-American Conference with the Jacoby Trophy as the top women's athletic program during the 2025-26 academic year. This marks the second year in a row, and the eighth time in program history, that the RedHawks have secured the prestigious all-sports award.
Miami competed in 10 women’s sports during the 2025-26 academic year and won the field hockey and women’s basketball tournament titles and regular season championships.
This marks the fifth time in school history, and third time in the last seven years, that Miami University has swept the men’s and women’s all-sports awards. The RedHawks also claimed both trophies in 2025, 2019, 1997 and 1983.
"Winning these awards is a testament to our amazing student-athletes across all our sports, along with our talented coaches and staff that guide them on our mission to Graduate Champions from Miami University", said Director of Athletics David Sayler. For the Jacoby Trophy, points are awarded based on each school’s finish, with the overall total divided by the number of sports sponsored by each school. The women’s trophy is named for former MAC Commissioner Fred Jacoby. Jacoby was the MAC Commissioner from 1971-82 and is credited with incorporating women’s athletics into the conference structure.
