CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference saw 27 student-athletes from all nine of the league's women's tennis teams earn Academic All-District Team honors for the 2025-26 season, as announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women’s Tennis teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men’s tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First- , second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 2, 2026.

Buffalo - Four members of the University at Buffalo women's tennis team have been named to the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday. Junior Julia Laspro earned the honor for the second straight year while sophomores Blanca Berges, Maria Glowacka and Sarah Hartel earned the recognition for the first time in their careers.
Glowacka, a business administration and finance major with a 3.87 GPA, earned All-MAC honors for the first time in her career after having recording double digit singles and doubles win totals for the second straight season. She set a new career high with 23 singles victories which was also tied for the team-lead. The Torun, Poland native was also been a dominant force at the top of the doubles lineup with Andresen, notching 21 victories.
A business administration major with a 3.86 GPA, Berges continued her strong play as she tied a career-high with 18 singles wins, primarily at the sixth position, including a team-best 6-2 mark in MAC play, while notching 13 doubles victories, including a 12-3 dual mark with partner Roestel.
Roestel, a business administration major with a 3.93 GPA, continued to be a steady presence in the UB lineup as she recorded 15 singles wins while also tying a career-best with 15 doubles victories, including a 12-3 dual mark with Berges. The Kaiserslautern, Germany native picked up a signature win in February as she defeated Syracuse's Emma Scaldalai for the first Power 4 victory of her career, while also teaming with Berges to pick up a win over the Orange at second doubles.
Hartel, a biomedical engineering major with a 3.83 GPA, made an immediate impact in her first season in Buffalo as she was tied for the team lead with a career-best 23 singles victories, primarily at the fourth position, including a team-best 6-2 mark in MAC play. She also recorded a career-high and team-leading 24 doubles victories, including a 17-4 dual mark with Laspro.
Eastern Michigan - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their annual CSC Academic All-District honors for women's tennis today, May 12, with two members of the Eastern Michigan University program earning the academic award for the 2025-26 season. Iva Daneva and Regina Mendez Carreño were honored by the national organization as two of the 534 student-athletes recognized across the nation among the NCAA Division I programs sponsoring the sport.
Daneva posted a 9-12 combined record after coming off an injury that cut her freshman season short. Despite going 0-3 in singles play, she was 9-9 in doubles action, including 8-8 when paired with Mendez Carreño throughout the dual season with two matches going unfinished despite the duo leading in their match. The two paired together from the start of the spring with their wins in the first two matches of the season, clinching the doubles point for the Eagles. Daneva also was paired with MAC Freshman of the Year Cylova Zuleyka Hukmasabiyya, with the team going 1-1 in MAC play, including a tough 7-6(4) decision in the season finale.
Carreño was a major contributor in her senior season as she completed 28 singles and 28 doubles matches (56 combined) after playing 65 total singles and doubles matches in her first three years in Ypsilanti. She finished the 2025-26 season with 20 wins, including a 12-16 mark in singles play and an 8-20 mark in doubles. Her singles win total tied her career high (12 in 2024-25) while her doubles victories more than doubled the seven she accumulated previously. Additionally, she won her first MAC singles match with a 6-3, 6-2 home win over Isabella Righi of Northern Illinois University while she posted two wins in doubles action against MAC foes after having not played in a conference doubles match in her first three seasons.
Overall, Daneva and Mendez Carreño became the seventh and eighth members of the program, respectively, to earn academic accolades from the CSC and brought the program's total to 10 all-district honors earned.

Massachusetts - Four members of the University of Massachusetts tennis team landed on the 2026 College Sports Communicators' (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday. Graduate student Renata Farima, senior Ella Faessler, junior Amelia Tye and sophomore Martina Pavissich all garnered the honor. Faessler earns the accolade for the third straight year, while Farima, Tye and Pavissich collect the honor for the first time in their careers.
In addition, Faessler has been selected as a CSC Academic All-America Finalist and advanced to the national ballot that will be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced June 2, 2026. Faessler, a Hilton Head, South Carolina, native is pursuing her bachelor's degree in biology. The senior spent most of her time at No. 1 singles, registering an overall record of 13-5, including a 7-1 MAC record. She paired up with Farima in doubles competition, posting a 13-5 record at No. 1 with a 6-2 mark in the league.
A native of Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, Farima is working towards her master's degree in management. She concluded the 2026 season with an 11-4 overall singles record, including a 7-1 record in the Mid-American Conference. She spent time at both court No. 5 and No. 6. In doubles, she partnered with Faessler, as the duo primarily played at No. 1. The pair finished with a 13-5 overall record and a 6-2 mark in the MAC.
Earning an undergraduate degree in marketing, Tye put together an 11-7 singles record, primarily playing at the no. 2 slot, with a 7-1 MAC record. Tye partnered with Amanda de Oliveira in doubles play, as the duo went 8-7 at No. 2 and 1-4 in the conference.
Pavissich, a Santiago, Chile, native, is a dual major earning her bachelor's degree in education and psychology. She went 15-4 in singles competition, mostly playing in the No. 3 position, and 5-3 in the MAC. Partnered with Madara Markevica, the pair completed doubles action with a 17-3 record at court No. 3 and a 4-3 mark in the league.

Toledo - Toledo women's tennis student-athletes Neha Guru, Jone Ibanez, Annika Munson and JJ Scholten* have been named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday. Guru, Munson, and Scholten are first-time honorees, while Ibanez has been named to the all-district team for the second straight season.
